Grunnskolinn i Thorlakshofn

Our school is a primay- and secondary school with classes from 1st - 10th  grade. It is located on the south coast of Iceland. Students are 272 in total and teachers and staff around 60.

The school focuses on offering a well-rounded education that caters to the academic, social, and emotional development of its students. The curriculum is in line with the national educational standards set by the Icelandic Ministry of Education. In addition to core subjects such as Icelandic, mathematics, science, and social studies, the school also emphasizes the importance of arts, physical education, and technology.

Grunnskólinn í Þorlákshöfn has a strong connection with the local community, and students often engage in projects and activities that reflect the culture and environment of the area.
